Welcome!

We're really glad you're here! You might be wondering who we are. Well, we are God’s well-loved children! We are young, not-so young, married, single, in partnerships, widows, and widowers. We are ethnically, racially, politically, socially, economically, and theologically diverse, and we love each other! We like to say that we are blessed to be a blessing! We use who we are to build relationships with each other and the neighbors around us.

Visiting a new church can be intimidating. To help ease your concerns, we'd like to share a little about what to expect. We hope to see you on Sunday!

1.

WHEN ARE SERVICES?

Services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.

Throughout the year, we have occassional evening services including Christmas Eve Lessons & Carols and Maundy Thursday Communion.

3.

WHERE DO I PARK?

We have two parking lots (adjacnt to and across the street from the church), along with on-street parking (9th Street).

Accessible parking is available behind the church and in the lot adjacent to the church.

5.

WILL I BE WELCOME?

Yes! First Presbyterian is a genuinely welcoming congregation. As a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we're happy to be totally inclusive. Our primary belief is that everyone (no exceptions!) is created in the loving image of God, who is love itself. At FPC, we're not just friendly, we're friends.

7.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

Absolutely! At FPC, we believe that children are a gift of God to the congregation, and our worship is entirely intergenerational.

2.

WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

We are located across from Lynn Haven Elementary School at the corner of 9th Street and Georgia Avenue. Our address is:

810 Georgia Avenue

Lynn Haven, FL 3244

4.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I GET THERE?

Enter through the front doors (Georgia Avenue) or one of our accessible entrances.

You will be warmly greeted and given a paper bulletin containing the order of service.

A greeter will be happy to help you find a seat where you feel comfortable.

6.

WHAT IS THE SERVICE LIKE?

Our Sunday worship service is best described as "blended". Those who appreciate a more traditional service will be spiritually fed. Those who appreciate a more spontaneous, contemporary service will be spiritually fed.

We are bible-based in the best sense, because our worship is joy-filled, trinitarian (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost), and focused on God's holy Word.

Our goal is that everyone feel better when they leave than when they arrived.

8.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Dress comfortably. You'll feel right at home wearing anything from jeans to business casual to your "Sunday best".
